I can’t say enough about how well organized the Obama campaign was… think about it… I go online, I find a place to go to, I call and talk to someone who’s empowered and knowledgeable and has marching orders, and I go and march right alongside them…
As easy as pie.
Barack has 6 million email addresses… and we have his… we can still go on Barack’s website and talk, communicate… So what happens to this amazingly powerful tool???
We need to keep this alive… we are a nation of causes, of volunteers… people wandering in, “what can I do?”
I don’t expect Barack’s campaign is going to be able to keep this up… Don’t expect that this will become the government website… so, how do we do it? How do we not lose this hands-on, bottom-up organizing? Who’s going to take the wheel here, so that I — like anyone else — can say “Hey, I want to do something to help this weekend… where can I go?”
That’s a theme… and it’s probably going to be the theme of my blog for the next couple of months… what do we do now?
